Explorer Day at Sugar Creek

Each year children from our congregation join the Sugar Creek staff for a day to "explore camp". This gives the children from 1st-5th grade a chance to experience and explore camp life with games, nature activities, crafts, swimming, pony rides, Bible study and singing. It gives the children a chance to see what Bible camp is all about.

Kids' Week Day Camp Coming Again in 2012

In 2011, Olivet offered Day Camp June 12-16 and will be hosting it again in 2012. Stay tuned for special dates in June 2012. Day Camp offers programming for children who are going into kindergarten through 5th grade.

The camp is led by energetic, enthusiastic and Christ-filled counselors from Sugar Creek Bible Camp. The counselors along with Olivet volunteers lead the children in camp songs, crafts, small group activities, worship and special events. It’s a flurry of activity as the kids learn about the love of Jesus in song, in word and activities and as they meet new friends. Plenty of nutritious snacks are provided. Children are asked to bring a sack lunch. Among the community events experienced in 2010 was a visit by the Campbell Fire Department where the kids got a chance to try on real gear worn by firemen, learn about fire safety and get sprayed with the fire hose.
