Giving

Each of us is called to worship God with our entire life, including our time, talents and resources. For many, giving is a way of life. "Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth.” Deuteronomy 8:18 Sharing our resources is a good way to worship the Giver of all good things.

Variety of Ways

You may make your gifts to the ministries in and through Olivet in a variety of forms. You can give by cash, check or money order. You can also simplify your giving by authorizing an automated transfer of funds for your regular tax-deductible giving to Olivet. Simply fill out a "Simply Giving" form available through the church office.

Olivet is in need of two types of gifts: one for general operating expenses and the other to pay down the mortgage building debt. For 2010-2012, we have a new, three-year debt reduction appeal entitled "Shining the Light". You can support this appeal through cash, check, money order or though Simply Giving.

Another way you may choose to give is through the Olivet Endowment Fund. Through this fund, gifts and bequests are used for the mission and ministry of Olivet.

Benevolence

Each year Olivet tithes, giving 10 percent of its general offering to local, regional and national needs. In 2009, Olivet distributed $45,772. To obtain a detailed listing of the distribution of funds, see the 2009 annual report or contact the church office.
